Toranmal is approximateky 500 Kms from Pune and Mumbai and about 300 Kms from Nashik. The Torna tree grows so prolifically in Toranmal that the tribals started worshipping 'Torna Devi" - godess of Torna tree, as a godess of fertility. Toranmal, the name of this hamlet is also derived from the name of the tree and the temple of the godess!
