Khadagvasla
Khadagvasla Lake is primarily a picnic spot nearby Pune. The Lake is formed in the catchments area of Khadagvasla dam. With scenic surroundings and loads of stalls to cater to the weekend crowd Khadagvasla makes a good drive for the family. It could be slightly crowded in the weekends.
Panshet
Nestled picturesquely between Panshet Dam and Varasgaon Dam Panshet is a nice place for a one day excursion. If you are a water-sports freak, this is the place where you need to hit. There are facilities for kayaking and wind surfing. You can also ride speed boat and water scooter. The distance of just about 50Kms makes it even more convenient.
There are cottages available just near the dam if you plan on a overnight stay.
