Diveghar
Diveghar, is a marvelous beach around 15 km from Shrivardhan and Harihareshwar. Diveagar is popular for its stunning secluded beaches. However, watch out for the crowd that throngs the exclusive temple housing a pure gold (12 kg) idol of Lord Ganesha. The idol is rumored to have strangely exhumed in a chest full of cache of diamond almost 1000 yrs ago.
Joy of watching the "Suvarna Ganpati (Golden Ganesha) is beyond words. The long stretch of Diveghar beach is just the ideal place to continue in the serene atmosphere accompanying the temple. Diveagar is 4-5 hours drive away from Pune. Please check the road map from Pune to Diveagar for directions. There aren't many hotels or resorts in Diveghar but the ones that are there are decent. Diveghar is a perfect holiday destination for a peaceful weekend getaway from Pune
