Famous for the ‘Kadyawarcha Ganpati’ (Ganesh temple situated on a cliff) Anjarle is one of the secluded deaches in Dapoli. Anjarle has a clean beach with a cover of white sand and is surrounded by palms and trees Located near an estuary of the river Jog Anjarle beach is about two kilometers long. Quite and desolate this tree lined beach is perched in one of the most picturesque locations of Anjarle.
The major attraction in Anjarle is the Kadyavarcha Ganpati temple. The temple has a rare "Ujwya Sondecha Ganpati" - Ganesh idol with its trunk turned towards right and is frequented by devotees and tourists alike. The temple has a stone staircase to reach the top of the temple. A vantage point it offers a panoramic view if the blue sea, Suvarnadurg Fort and surrounding hills from here. There is a pond in front of the temple and a small but beautiful temple of Lord Shiva.
Anjarle is a nice dainty village with basic facilities. However, there are not many beach resorts or hotels in Anjarle, one would have to find a homestay to arrange accommodation in Anjarle to enjoy this beautiful village.
