Beaches
Maharashtra is blessed with a long coast line with few of the finest beaches one could find in the country.Some of thse beaches are a backpackers dream,long stretches of secluded beaches ideal for camping and if you are lucky you could manage to go fishing with locals in the early hours of the day.Hospitality of the konkan is unmatched, even if you dont have a tent to camp it wouldn't be difficult to find shelter in one of houses on the coast in any of these beaches.
The beaches featured in these pages are not the only beaches that are there in the konkan stretch but just better known than many of the others. We look forward to contributions from you to update and add more pages with practical details and add flesh and blood to the mere skelton that we have created.
