Around Harnai..

The beautiful Harnai beach and the fish auction is the major attraction in Harnai, however there are many sightseeing options near Harnai making it an ideal destination from Pune for a long weekend trip. A visit to either the Suvarnadurg or Kanakdurg sea-forts is certainly warranted in a Harnai holiday while a visit to the Kadyavarcha Ganpati temple in Anjarle and Mahalakshmi temple in Kelshi and Yaqub baba durgah to answer the relegious calling!
Panhalekazi

Discovered in 1970 Panhalekaji is a complex of 28 - 29 caves filled with exquisite art value wrt architecture and quality of craftmanship. These budhist caves have a few inscriptions in Brahmi and Devanagari and also remnants of statues from 3 AD. Panhalekaji is about 35 Kms from Dapoli and the drive will take just over hour from Dapoli but well worth it!

Kelshi..
Kelshi is a place of religious significance, besides having a long history. Kelshi Further north from Anjarle is frequented by pilgrims who come to the Mahalaxmi Temple and the Dargah of Yaqub Sarvari - a testimonial to Shivaji's secular outlook.
Just outside the village is a lovely beach, which stretches for 2.5 kms and the sunset here is lauded to be nothing less than spectacular.
Kanakdurg..

Kadyavarcha Ganpati - Anjarle

Built in 1150 and later renovated during 1768 to 1780 this ganesh temple atop a hill invokes deep relegious fervour amongst its devotees."Ujwya Sondecha Ganpati" the Ganesh idol is a rarity with its trunk turned towards its right side. At a vantage point this temple is a tourist delight offering panoramic view of the surroundings.

Karde..
Karde is one of the most secluded and tranquil beaches in the entire stretch of Dapoli beaches and extends far upto Burundi and Murud Harnai on either sides. The beach here is a typical Dapoli beach with a thin film of white sand covering the underlying black sand giving it a very romantic appeal. Karde is the ideal destination to head for if you are looking for a quite romantic weekend.
