Reaching Amboli..
Amboli is situated in the southern range of Sahyadri hills, at an altitude of 690 m. Amboli is 25 Kms from Sawantwadi and falls in the main state highway connecting Nipani to Sawantwadi enroute Goa. It is in fact the travelers to Goa who made Amboli comparatively popular because of the 'mandatory' stop that they take at the Amboli water falls to get drenched before heading to the beaches of Goa!
Like any other hillstation Amboli also has some view points however the 'sea view' point makes it the only hill station with that distinction! Mahadevgad point located about 3 kms from the bazar is one of the primary view points in Amboli. Kavlesad Point is lot further ahead but view offered in Kavlesad justifies the distance. There are a few other points like the sunset and Shirgaonkar Point near Amboli.
