Shrivardhan - An unspoilt virgin beach
fishing dock where you could have a look at the fish auction and a variety of different fish.
Shrivardhan is one of the oldest towns in Maharashtra. It is a town of Peshwas. The temple in the town - Shri Laxminarayan Temple - is the main temple of Peshwas. The idol in the temple is quite old and said to be of Hoysala architecture style. The other temples in the town are of Kusumdevi, Somjai, Bhairavnath and Jivaneshwar.
With a fishing dock in the town its easy to get a variety of fresh fish. The sea food, especially ‘Surmai’ is delicious and you will get an option of either a Chicken Thali or a Fish Thali in the restaurants apart from the vegetarian Thali. Coconut is used generously in all preparations.
